Iron Tide Command

Iron Tide Command asks you to think. You command a small fleet across a grid of islands, balancing supply lines against expansion, and rushing usually gets you sunk. We lost our first three matches badly before things clicked.

The AI plays a slow, methodical game, and once you learn to read its moves the battles turn into a proper chess match. Sessions run a bit long for a phone game, but there's a save-anywhere feature that saved us more than once.

It won't be for everyone — if you want instant action, look elsewhere. But if you like sitting back and outmaneuvering an opponent, this one holds up.
