Why us

We actually play

Every review comes from real hours on the game, not a press release. If we didn't finish it, we say so.

No paid slots

Nobody pays us to bump a game up the list. Our picks are ours alone.

Small screen first

We judge games by how they feel on a phone — controls, battery, quick sessions — not on some ideal setup.

Editor’s pick

Ember Crown Saga
RPG

Ember Crown Saga

★★★★☆ 4.3

Ember Crown Saga is the kind of RPG you settle into for the long haul. It's turn-based, so you never feel rushed, and the writing is a cut above what we expected from a mobile release. The party you build actually matters — swapping a healer for a second mage changed how whole boss fights played out.

  • Party building that affects real strategy
  • Story that's actually worth reading
  • Optional grind, respectful of your time

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

Someone on the team spots a game, we all install it, and we play for at least a few evenings before writing anything. If it can't hold our attention, it doesn't make the site. We stick mostly to racing and arcade but cover anything that surprises us.

Do developers pay you for reviews?

No. Nobody pays us to review a game or to place it higher in our picks. Our scores come from our own hours with the game and nothing else.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Yes, please do. Send us a message with the name and where to find it, and we'll take a look when we can. We can't promise to cover everything, but we read every suggestion.

Have you really tested the games you list?

Every single one. Big Rush Cast, for example, we played across a full week on buses and couches before writing a word about its dash mechanic. If we didn't finish something, we tell you that in the review.
