Arcade or simulation: which fits a phone better?
There's a real tension in mobile games between arcade feel and simulation depth. On a phone, we lean arcade almost every time, and here's why.
Simulations like Skyport Tycoon are great, but they ask for attention and patience the small screen doesn't always afford. You're often playing in bursts, and deep sims punish you for stopping mid-thought.
Arcade games meet you where you are. Big Rush Cast doesn't care if you played for thirty seconds or thirty minutes — the fun is immediate. That immediacy is worth a lot on a device you check a hundred times a day.
That said, when you've got a quiet evening, a good sim rewards you differently. It's less about which is better and more about matching the game to the moment.
